All our children
The Red Cross has collected a total of 12,235,348 kroner for vulnerable families in Denmark for the "Alle Vores Børn" collection in collaboration with DBU, the Football Foundation and TV2 📺❤️ The collection was shown on TV2 on Saturday, April 15, 2023.
At MarMar Copenhagen, we are concerned that all children should have a good time and donated DKK 10,000 to the collection and the well-being of vulnerable children in everyday life and in the future 🙌
At this moment, there are families who have barely managed to make ends meet financially until now, who simply can no longer keep up. And there are children who, despite being just children, have far too many worries about their lives and the situation they are in. Children who feel lonely and alone because they do not have the same access to the communities that the rest of us share. Children who are embarrassed about not having the same opportunities as everyone else and therefore do not dare to speak out loud about the many things they have to do without.
Because when classmates play football or go to a dance after school, the children often can't join in. It's expensive to go to something. And when others invite the class to a birthday party, vulnerable children can't do the same, because their families don't have the resources or the money to do so. Time and again, children in Denmark are left out. They can rarely join in the conversation when others tell about the good holiday experiences or excursions they've had, because they haven't been anywhere. And the deprivations the children are suffering now risk leaving traces far into their adult lives.
With that money, the Red Cross can specifically provide help to 7,567 Danish children in vulnerable positions. For example, by providing financial support for sports quotas, making it possible for the children to celebrate birthdays and confirmations, or inviting them to our holiday camp 🙌
