Buzz buzz... The bumblebees need a helping hand!
What is Charity Tee?
Every year MarMar Copenhagen makes a “Charity Tee”, which is a charity t-shirt that will help to get our planet back in good shape. The t-shirt is produced in organic cotton, printed and sewn in Ukraine and is available for babies, children and adults.
Together we help
All over the world, there are people, big and small, who need help and support . Some of them are the small winged creatures that fly from flower to flower and create life and growth for us all, namely the bees.
Through the sale of this season's Charity Tee, we are raising money to care for our common earth by caring for the bees. Therefore, the total sales of this season's t-shirt will "buzz buzz bumblebees need a helping wing" be donated to Bee's for development , an international organization that works to combat poverty, benefit biodiversity and make life better with bees.
You make a difference
Total sales, i.e. all revenue, go uncut to the organization.
If we sell one baby t-shirt, we will send 229 DKK to the organization. If we sell 1000, the amount we will send will be 229,000 DKK.
All the t-shirts that our retailers sell count, of course, and their total sales also go to the bees.

A child-friendly tip to help the bees
Blow on dandelions when they are white, it's actually really good for the bees and something most children love to do! We got the tip from Per Kryger and he knows it because he is a researcher in disease control in bees at Aarhus University.
What does the money go towards?
We need to take care of all the bees, because we need each other. We asked our new friends at Bee's for development where the money would do the most good and they told us about their project in Uganda to take care of the honeybees and ensure their survival.
Bee's for development, Cisu and the Danish Beekeepers' Association launched a beekeeping project in Uganda last year. In several places, people think short-term and kill the bees to get the honey. This affects the growth of crops and undermines livelihoods. Through the project, the poorest and most vulnerable people learn, among other things, how to anesthetize the bees instead of killing them, so that they can collect honey again more quickly, and they also learn methods for making beehives out of materials that are available and in some cases mobile, so that they can move the bees with them. The project also trains them in the production of beekeeping products, for example out of beeswax. In some places, honey has the same value as a cow, so sustainable beekeeping can make a huge difference to their lives and can help combat poverty while also benefiting biodiversity.
