At MarMar Copenhagen, we believe that the story behind each piece of clothing is almost as important as the design itself. This season, we are introducing a new mini collection of hand-knitted styles; a sweater, a hat and a scarf that capture this very philosophy. To realize our vision, we looked to Bolivia, where we have entered into a knitting collaboration with the Aymara women who live in the Andes Mountains, and who are considered some of the world's best craftsmen when it comes to knitting.
The Aymara women knit each sweater, hat and scarf by hand in their own homes, using only the finest alpaca wool. Their craftsmanship is an expression of a rich cultural heritage, where each mask is made with care and precision. This makes MarMar Copenhagen's hand-knitted mini-collection more than just beautiful clothes; it is a tribute to traditions and the people who create them.
