Technical Outerwear Details
MarMar Copenhagen's Technical outerwear is windproof, waterproof 10,000 mm and breathable 10,000 gr/m2/24. The durable material makes it ideal for winter outerwear and will keep your child both dry and warm in all kinds of winter weather.
Our Technical Outerwear is water-repellent and treated with BIONIC-FINISH® ECO impregnation spray, without harmful chemicals. In addition, our outerwear has a special membrane on the inside of the outer fabric, which makes the fabric breathable and wicks moisture away from the body.
All seams are taped so neither rain nor snow gets through.
It is Oeko-tex® Standard 100 certified, which is your guarantee that there are no harmful substances in any part of our clothing.
All our Technical Outerwear has matching details, comfortable rib that fits snugly at the neck and wrists, as well as quality zippers from YKK and elegant matching reflective tape.
Danish Design
Our beloved classics. We try to hide as many snaps as possible for a clean and neat look, as seen around hoods and the invisible snaps in each pocket. Edges at wrists and feet are reinforced with durable polyester tape, which provides stability and adds longer life to the edges. Necklines are made of a soft ribbed fabric, which adds warmth and comfort.
Our technical outerwear can be worn all winter long and is even suitable for the ski slopes. The overshoes can go over both ski boots and regular winter boots and the pockets are ideally placed for both ski passes and other wintery items.
Functionality
We only use YKK zippers in our outerwear. Whether it's putting on a jacket, crawling into a snowsuit or pulling on a pair of ski pants. Each zipper is color-matched and creates an elegant look. The chin tip is lined with soft fleece to prevent your child's chin from a cold metal zipper tip.
Breathable and waterproof
Children run and play, so it is very important to stay dry and warm. Our fabrics are breathable – specifically 10,000 gr/m2/24. A special membrane on the inside of the outer fabric allows air to be transported into and moisture out of the garment. Keeps your child warm AND dry. The membrane also allows the fabric to be waterproof to 10,000 mm. All internal seams are taped. This prevents snow and rain from getting in.
Water-repellent surface without harmful chemicals
We impregnate with BIONIC-FINISH® ECO, which makes it water and dirt repellent without the use of harmful fluorine substances. The impregnation is sprayed onto the outer fabric and makes it water and dirt repellent.
Security
All our technical outerwear has reflective piping. This means your child will be visible from a distance. The reflective piping is all in matching colours, making it discreet and giving the design a stylish look. We also add a name and address label inside each piece of clothing - just in case.
Insulation
We use Thermolite which is a polyester insulation material. It is light and airy and allows air to circulate around your child's body. This regulates the child's body temperature and keeps them comfortably warm. All our pockets are lined in matching colour soft polyester fleece.
Thorough tests
We test all the technical details and for harmful substances. We test for waterproofness, we test our BIONIC FINSH ECO impregnation, our Thermolite insulation and the breathability of our outerwear. The chemicals we test for include: fluorocarbons with a special focus on PFOS/PFOA, ASO dyes, heavy metals and phthalates.
All our technical outerwear is Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified. This is your guarantee that there are no harmful substances in any part of the clothing.
Care guide
Our Technical Outerwear is impregnated with BIONIC-FINISH® ECO, a fluorine-free water-repellent treatment.
To protect the environment, unnecessary washing should be avoided. Light dirt is easily removed with a damp cloth, thereby preserving the impregnation for a longer period of time.
Depending on how much the garment is used, it is recommended to treat it with an impregnation spray to maintain the fabric's water-repellent surface and extend the life of the garment. However, the membrane will be 100% waterproof even without additional impregnation.
